Angie + Autumn || A San Diego Beach Elopement and Day of Adventure

Autumn and Angie live in Arizona, but came out to San Diego to elope and do whatever the heck they wanted to all day on their wedding day! I am a solid longtime booster of doing whatever the heck you want, and coincidentally they wanted to do a lot of my favorite things! I love when things line up that way and we ALL have one of the best days of our lives. This was one of those days.

Desiree of Penny Blooms coordinated the whole day and lined everything up so we could get a lot of fun things into a short time but still flow smoothly from one activity into the next. We started at their hotel in Imperial Beach, where they got ready together (my favorite favorite thing – seriously the easiest way to carve out some extra time with your sweetheart on your wedding day). From there, we drove via vintage limo up to Windansea Beach in La Jolla for their ceremony (officiated by their friend Nancy, who came out to help them celebrate).

Next up was lunch at Soda and Swine, cocktails at Polite Provisions, and some ginormous peanut butter cups at Paleo Treats! One of my favorite memories of the day is the way that every single person we interacted with was SO delighted for Angie and Autumn, and how they went out of their way to make the day special. When Angie and Autumn were sharing their dessert outside of Paleo Treats, the gals inside saw me taking pictures and ran outside with a giant unicorn piñata to level things up!

We headed over to Balboa Park for a few photos around one of the most beautiful spots in San Diego, then back to their hotel to wrap up the day on the sand. They were exhausted, a little sunburnt, and completely blissful. If that’s not the best way to end a day, I don’t know what is.

Everything about this brings me joy. Their playful spirit and all the classic seaside vibes were so full of life and love. As always, beautifully done!
